If I hire Party in Motion Entertainment, who will be my DJ?
The individual you meet with from day one will be your DJ. We never hire or subcontract to other DJs.
Can I meet with my DJ?
We recommend an initial meeting prior to booking and an additional meeting 2 weeks before the event, but contact by phone or email is also possible.
What area do you serve?
We serve the entire New York Metro area including N.J and several parts of P.A.
Are there any venues that you don't play?
Yes, we do not perform at house parties or Yachts.
How much does the average DJ cost?
The national average rate for a DJ is $1,200.
How many hours are covered?
Our package prices include up to 4 hours of service.
What kind of music do you play?
Your DJ will provide you with a worksheet which will assist you in customizing a play list for your event, your worksheet can include favorite songs, artists, music categories and do not plays.
Will you play my requests?
Yes, we guarantee to play from your play list and we will honor your "no play" list as well.
Do you have all the latest music?
Yes, we belong to many different music pools. We use the best in music technology to have all the past and latest hits available for your event. Currently our music library consists of over 45,000 titles.
Can you suggest some popular songs for my event?
Yes, we are always ready and standing by to make suggestions and or recommendations.
What will you wear?
We always dress accordingly, generally we wear a shirt and tie with a vest. Your M.C will be dressed in full formal attire.
What kind of equipment is provided?
We use state of the art equipment which is screened and tested before each event.
How long have you been in business?
Party in Motion was established in 1993.

Are you insured?
Yes, we carry a $2,000,000 liability insurance policy.
How much must I pay to reserve the date?
We require a 25% non-refundable retainer to reserve the date. The balance is due 2 weeks prior to the event.
Do you provide a contract?
Yes, a contract is provided at the initial meeting.
What if I have to cancel or postpone the event?
If cancelled more than one month prior to the contracted date, only the nonrefundable retainer is lost. Otherwise, payment is due in full.
Can I see you perform at an event?
No, we believe it to be unprofessional; as it may also present personal liability to invite strangers to private events.
